PMDC Announces MDCAT 2025 Schedule, Fee Hike, and Revised Curriculum

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced the schedule for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025. The exam will be held on 5 October 2025.
Registration will start on 8 August and end on 25 August 2025. Late registration will be available until 1 September 2025 with an additional fee.
PMDC has increased the test fee by PKR 1,000, bringing the total to PKR 9,000. The hike aims to cover operational, security, and logistical costs.
The MDCAT 2025 will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions from biology, chemistry, physics, English, and logical reasoning. The exam will last three hours, and no negative marking will be applied.
Questions will be divided into 15% easy, 70% moderate, and 15% difficult. Applicants need 55% marks for medical college admission and 50% for dental college admission.
PMDC President Dr Rizwan Taj said a question bank is being developed. The new curriculum was prepared with input from academic experts, boards, and universities.
